That title may have sounded a bit ridiculous but you'll find out here why. Lima, popularly known as the ''City of Kings'' name that acquired over time from the Spanish colonialism. It's the third most populous metropolitan area in Latin America, and the city occupies the fifth place among the most populated cities in Latin America.

Peru's buzzing capital Lima is one of the most populated places in Peru and in Latin America in general. For a long time, Lima was just a stop-through before heading to see other destinations in Peru. However, this according to what I heard while being there has been changing throughout the years.
“Infuse your life with action. Don't wait for it to happen. Make it happen. Make your own future. Make your own hope. Make your own love. And whatever your beliefs, honor your creator, not by passively waiting for grace to come down from upon high, but by doing what you can to make grace happen... yourself, right now, right down here on Earth.” Bradley Whitford
When was the last time you tried doing something for the first time? That memorable feeling of getting to #discover #new #things is only possible when you take an action and make it happen. So don't think twice before making a decision that you know will fill you up with happiness.
Returning to my post, I will explain why I consider Lima as a ''Cheesy city for couples'' There are plenty of things to do here in Lima. And I want to give you a full guide of it.
Miraflores and ''El Malecon''
Fulled with Palms which gives an additional beach touch. This sort of harbor, it's probably my favorite place in #Lima. Miraflores is a wide area of green zones that is made up of several parks: Maria 'Reiche', Tres Picos, Miguel Grau, 'Salazar' park and 'Domodossola' park.

'El Malecon' located near the cliff of the city and near the coastal highway when riding over you can see the sea from there.
'Miraflores' is one of the finest neighborhoods in Lima, described as; cosmopolitan and chic, adjectives that remain like a glove to the neighborhood of Miraflores, where the life of the refined people of Lima takes place. So be prepared to find the most elegant of your suitcase to enjoy its streets, parks and nightlife, as it is one of the safest neighborhoods in the city. Taking a walk around here is one of the best things to do in Lima.
As I mentioned before, Lima has a lot of parks. One I believe you shouldn't miss is the 'Central Park'' which is in the middle of the city. Now let's see why I decided to give this title to my post as a cheesy place for lovers.
Parque del Amor

It turns out that Lima has places for those devoted lovebirds with their cheesy pink emotions accompanied by butterflies in their stomach. A very romantic spot in the city is called as 'Parque del amor' literally translate #LovePark presided over by the exuberant sculpture of David Delfín 'El beso' #TheKiss the sculpture itself represents love due to a couple giving each other a kiss, another interesting fact is that surroundings on the benches you can find decorated with multicolored mosaics and written phrases of famous Poets and Writers about romanticism. So of course, It has become a meeting place that many couples on weekends and other holidays choose to spend some special time together.
In addition, if you love cats, you can walk through 'Kennedy Park', where a community of cats has been taken care of for the citizens. Do not have anything to wear? Take the opportunity to go to the glamorous 'Larcomar' shopping center and then you can enjoy a fantastic dinner at one of the many shops on Avenida Arequipa
Barranco
I really really recommend this place. Unfortunately only a few tourists find their way to the beautiful district of #Barranco. This is Lima's bohemian quarter, a place for poets, couples, artists and exceptional nightlife..

Now here is the second part of the reason ''Lima a city for cheesy couples'' Located in the area of Barranco there is a small bridge made of wood (You can see above). ''El puente de los Suspiros'' that literally translates The Bridge of Sighs is known worldwide as an area in which wishes are fulfilled to those who hold their breath and cross the structure. This iconic bridge in Lima is a place where thousands of couples arrive every year because it contains thousands of romantic stories and has inspired musical composers to create songs.

In the area of Barranco you can find many bars and restaurants, where they can even offer you the traditional pisco cocktail.
El Circuito Mágico del Agua (The Magic Water Circuit)
One of the newest attractions in the city and has 13 ornamental fountains that fuse water, light, music and laser lights. It is located in the Reserve Park in Lima, Peru.
The Magic Water Circuit has the Guinness Book record for the largest fountain complex in the world, displaying 13 distinct fountains and many are interactive.
Monasterio de San Francisco (San Francisco Monastery)
Lima is home to many fine religious buildings, but the San Francisco Monastery stands out from the crowd.

The Convent of San Francisco is one of the most visited destinations in Lima. This place hides something under the architecture of its beautiful church, some dark catacombs. They are a series of vaults built in the underground and were used for the burial of members of sororities.
An authentic underground cemetery that was in force until the nineteenth century. Currently you can see some of its most important galleries. Others are boarded up and are enigmatic since it is not known exactly where they were driving.
The Plaza de Armas
The heart of #Lima's historic center

There is no better way to start investigating the Peruvian capital than locating yourself in its Plaza Mayor, the old Plaza de Armas. Its splendid colonial architecture immediately announces what kind of city you have landed, since from its center you can enjoy the sights of the most emblematic monuments of Lima: the Government Palace, the Union Palace, the Municipal Palace and the Archbishop's Palace from Lima.
The most striking element is the fountain that is located right in the center of the square and where you always find tourists taking pictures from all possible angles. Do you see the fountain located in the middle of the square? It is the source of the dolphins and it marks kilometer 0 of Peru.
The Plaza San Martín
Declared a World Heritage Site in 1988.

The Plaza San Martín is located in the historic center of Lima and was built in 1921 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the independence of Peru. In the center stands the monument to General San Martín, portrayed in his step on horseback through the Andes. The balustrades, fountains, bronze lampposts and the garden areas complete one of the corners most loved by the citizens of the capital of Peru and to see in Lima.
Do not forget to visit it, it's beautiful, it really transports you to the old continent. Many colonial buildings very well maintained... At night it is spectacular because of its lighting.
Costa Verde 'Green Cost'.
Lima is the only capital of South America with direct access to the Pacific Ocean and the Costa Verde. Lima is a road that runs along part of the coast of the Inca capital.

Another peculiarity of Lima is that it has a large gap between the city and the sea. This gap is known as the "cliff" and you can see it in all its splendor when traveling the Costa Verde.

The Costa Verde Beaches Circuit, popularly known not only as the Costa Verde, but also as a road located in the city of Lima, the capital of Peru that runs through the southern central part of the Lima coast linking the districts of Callao, San Miguel, Magdalena, San Isidro, Miraflores, Barranco, Chorrillos.
It has an enviable visit and the mixture with the green nature of the cliff of Miraflores makes it a wonder to visit it. Whether by car, bike or on foot. There are circuits and bridges. A very safe place and permanent surveillance
Tours
